DJ Kid Capri and Producer Just Blaze Are Masters Of The Mix - Milwaukee Hip-Hop Scene | Examiner.com

DJ's don't tend to get a whole lot of spotlight in the Hip-Hop community. And it looks like BET and Centric networks are looking to change that via a new reality show. The show will be entitled Master Of The Mix and the networks have enlisted Hip-Hop heavyweights DJ Kid Capri and producer Just Blaze as hosts.

The show is being sponsored by infamous alcohol company Smirnoff. The purpose of the new program is to put the top DJ's in the world against each other to compete for a $250,000 grand prize. Some of the DJ's on deck to participate in the competition include: DJ Jazzy Joyce, Rich Medina, DJ Scratch, and several others. The show will begin at a luxury crib in Hollywood Hills. From there, it will move on to the cities of: Las Vegas, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, and London. In each place, the DJ's will take part in a series of challenges to test and show off their skills. Reps from Smirnoff are excited about the show as Master Of The Mix will make for their first ever reality television venture. So it could open up a whole new level of opportunities for the brand. Additionally, reps from Smirnoff say that they pride themselves on their product being a huge part of the nightlife/party scene. And since DJ's are an essential part of the nightlife/party scene too, they couldn't think of a better show to support. Master Of The Mix is slated to debut on Centric on November 3, 2010. And BET will host re-runs for the show on Saturdays at midnight EST.

In the meantime, catch up with DJ Kid Capri here. Plus, check out more details about the show and the competitors here. And if you liked this article, take a look at this one as well.
